The first step on our Journey to the Fourth Lausanne Congress will introduce you to the Lausanne Movement.
Regardless of how long you have been a Christian on mission, in this second step on our Journey to the Fourth Lausanne Congress we encourage you to humbly submit your heart and life to the words of Jesus who teaches us that there is no mission without the Holy Spirit’s empowering presence.
In today’s world, where skills and fame are highly valued, the church often separates doing missions and being the church. But Scripture shows us that the church’s daily life and its role in the community are key parts of its mission. What the church does and what it is should go hand in hand; this is God’s plan for His church.
Early Christians in the book of Acts faced fierce opposition, but their response might surprise us. Instead of trembling in fear, they saw persecution as an opportunity to demonstrate the reality and power of their faith. Witnessing their unwavering courage in the face of adversity became a powerful testimony, drawing others to the message of Christ. While we may naturally seek comfort and safety, this biblical perspective reminds us that hardship can also be a catalyst for faith.
In this step of the journey, we will explore the importance of Christians in the workplace in light of their role in global mission.
‘And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.’ – Colossians 3:17
In this step, we explore the essence of Christian leadership, rooted in Jesus’ call for believers to embody servanthood above all. Facing contemporary leadership challenges in the church, we explore biblical guidance on fostering communities and propelling God’s mission forward.
In this step, we dive into the heart of the Great Commission: taking the gospel to the ends of the earth. This key theme is one of six themes drawn from the Book of Acts, that frames the morning sessions at the Fourth Lausanne Congress.
This theme also ties in with the Lausanne Movement's fourfold vision of bringing the Gospel to every person, underscoring our commitment to reaching out across the globe.
In this step, we explore the second part of Lausannes Fourfold Vision which is drawn from Jesus' commission of his disciple to go and make disciples of all nations.
In this step, we explore the third of Lausannes Fourfold Vision emphasising the need for leaders to emulate Christ in all they do and say.
In this step, we explore the final part of Lausannes Fourfold Vision emphasising the call of Jesus to bear witness to his Kingdom in every sphere of our lives.
